Christian, originally from Germany, has been calling London his home for close to 30 years. As a Senior Partner at Egon Zehnder, he focuses on advising CEOs and Boards primarily in the industrial sector with a particular focus on mining and metals. Christian also leads Egon Zehnder's CFO practice in the UK. In addition to executive and Board searches, he has deep experience in managing cross-border leadership assessment and development projects for global clients. During the 20 years he has now been with Egon Zehnder, Christian has increasingly turned his passion towards supporting CEOs and executive team members in realising their full potential through both practical advice as well as inner work and exploration. Having placed, assessed, developed and coached leaders around the world, he has a deep appreciation for the complexities and challenges these executives face as they navigate their careers.
I feel truly privileged to play a role where I can have a real and positive impact on the quality of leadership at organizations and the professional development of executives.
Before joining Egon Zehnder, Christian was an independent consultant to the automotive industry. Previously, he was a manager with AT Kearney in London where he consulted for a broad range of industrial clients with a particular focus on Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement.
Christian earned a BA from the University of California at Berkeley, an MPhil from Oxford University, and an MBA from INSEAD. He gained his coaching qualification from Meyler Campbell and continues to enrich his coaching expertise as a core member of Egon Zehnder's Leadership Advisory practice and stays abreast and engaged in the latest thinking in the field. When not working or travelling, he spends as much time as possible with his wife and two teenage children. He also enjoys early morning runs in London's Hampstead Heath and is passionate about travel and exploring new cultures.
