Andree Harahap Egon Zehnder, Jakarta
Andree Harahap, based in Jakarta, is active in several of Egon Zehnder's Industrial Practices (focusing mainly on Energy & CleanTech, Chemical and Process Industries and Mining & Metals) and the firm’s Public and Social Sector Practice, where he concentrates on providing advisory for the benefit of state-owned enterprises. Having worked extensively at major hotspots of the oil & gas industry (see below), Andree possesses a deep understanding of the upstream exploration & production sector and also extends to downstream activities such as refining and petrochemicals. He is especially passionate about investment, financial services and policies related to developing new energy sources and infrastructure. Andree’s wide-ranging expertise also embraces renewable energies, natural resources and digital transformation.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Andree worked for a number of years for Total, most recently in Jakarta as Head of Petroleum Analysis. There he was responsible for field development engineering and economics analyses, strategic planning as well as business and technical coordination with joint venture partners and authorities. Andree had joined Total as a Business Development Negotiator in Jakarta before moving to Paris to serve as Petroleum Architect, a role that involved managing field development engineering throughout pre-project evaluation phases up to project definition (FEED) for major projects in Sub-Saharan, East and South Africa. He began his career at Schlumberger, where he held various field and project engineering positions as well as Service Quality Coach and a business development & sales role, based in Azerbaijan, Brunei, Indonesia, the U.K. and the U.S. He has also completed projects in China, Malaysia and Oman.
Andree earned an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and Singapore, and a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Indonesia.
