Calvin Yee, based in New York and Los Angeles, is the Global Lead for Egon Zehnder’s Media, Entertainment & Sports Practice, a leader in the Digital Practice and serves clients in the luxury and consumer space. His clients include established companies with a genuine appetite for transformation and “disrupters” that innovate and change consumer behavior. A certified executive coach and member of the firm’s U.S. Diversity and Inclusion Council, he also conducts management appraisals and advises clients on organizational effectiveness, team effectiveness, and leadership development.

I love being a guide in the discovery process, a sounding board for decisions, a partner in achieving goals, a motivator, and a wakeup call when needed.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Calvin held leadership roles at several consulting firms, where he helped senior leaders and their teams drive organizational change. He has also invested in, advised, and served on the boards of small to midsize early-stage companies in growth sectors.

Calvin earned a BA and a Master of Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. As the father of a young boy, he is passionate about educational reform.

Dispatch from the Near Future: Thoughts on CES 2016

A good way to start debate in the consumer technology world is to ask if CES is still relevant. There is a vocal cohort of naysayers who claim it has become an overstuffed rehash of trends sharper eyes can spot earlier elsewhere. But in our view, this misses the mark.

Who are the New Monetization Leaders of Tomorrow—Especially Given the Current Headwinds in Adtech?

The new leaders in monetization frankly don’t care what is happening in adtech. If you are really worried about adtech’s affect on your business then your revenue and business model is not diverse enough.
