Olli Laurén serves as Office Leader in Washington D.C. where he leads the global Machinery & Industrial Technology segment of Egon Zehnder’s Industrial Practice. He advises on recruitment for machinery and equipment companies and for clients in pulp, paper, forest products, and steel. Olli is also active in the firm’s CEO and Board Consulting practices.

When the status quo gets in the way of progress, I enjoy challenging perceived wisdom to create high-performing cultures.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Olli owned a restaurant franchise business in Scandinavia. Previously, he was Sales & Marketing Director, Country Managing Director, and Regional Managing Director at Coats Viyella Plc. He began his career in the packaging industry.

Olli has a BA in economics from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He is a classically trained violinist who serves on a local school board and also enjoys boating.
