Lee Wrubel, based in New York, is Co-Lead of the Global Healthcare Research and Development Group and works broadly with organizations driving innovation to improve health. As such, Lee is a trusted advisor to leading provider systems across the US, as well as non-profit research organizations and biopharma companies.

Lee was a venture capitalist for more than 20 years before joining Egon Zehnder, most recently as General Partner at Flare Capital Partners (formerly Foundation Medical Partners), an early-stage healthcare technology venture capital company which he cofounded. Previously, he was an investment professional with Highland Capital Partners and Canaan Partners after launching his career in business as a consultant for the Wilkerson Group.
Lee earned a BA from Lafayette College, a Doctor of Medicine and a Master’s in Public Health from Tufts University and an MBA from Columbia University. He served as an Executive in Residence at Columbia University and as a member of the advisory board of the Eugene Lang Center for Entrepreneurship at Columbia Business School. He is also a founder of the Coalition to Cure Calpain 3, a nonprofit organization established to fund research into calpainopathy, a rare form of muscular dystrophy
