Radical change is transforming the financial services industry, reports Forbes magazine. According to a recent report by Egon Zehnder entitled: ‘Making The Future Now: How Financial Services Firms Can Adapt To a Customer-Centric World’ closer integration of technology and business is one of the keys to future success. Citing the report, Forbes writes, “Financial services firms are notorious for the silo-ed nature of their data systems, as well as for their large-scale back-office technology operations. In today’s environment, this combination represents an unacceptable impediment.” The report advises financial services players: “to evolve to a model where business lines and the technology that supports them work together in an agile manner.”
