She is valued by clients for her skill at finding, assessing, and developing talent for board and executive roles, drawing on extensive industry experience in both mature and emerging markets. Elena holds dual German and Swiss citizenship.

Today’s leaders face a myriad of choices in a rapidly evolving business environment. I’m passionate about providing fresh perspectives and helping them build winning teams to master their unique challenges.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Elena drove strategic initiatives and shaped group strategy at Swiss Re. Prior to that she was a manager with Bain & Company, advising clients on strategy, investments, organization, and change management across the private equity, banking, insurance, and manufacturing sectors.

Elena earned a BA in business administration from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and an MBA from INSEAD. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and kids, hiking in the Swiss Alps and walking in the forest. Elena is also a certified yoga teacher and practitioner and thrives on good food and deep conversations.
