Amy Cornwell, based in London, leads Egon Zehnder’s Human Resources Practice in the UK and is a core member of the firm’s Consumer Practice, with particular expertise in the food and beverage sector. She advises clients across executive search, board appointments, assessment, and development, helping organizations to strengthen their leadership teams, enhance board effectiveness, and plan for CEO and CHRO succession. Her work spans public companies, family-owned businesses, and private equity-backed enterprises - from global corporations to early-stage portfolio companies.

The most exciting assignments are those where the right leadership makes the difference between incremental progress and real transformation.

Amy began her career as a Strategy Consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in London and New York, focusing on consumer goods and retail clients, and undertook a secondment with Limited Brands in the US. She later co-founded and led MOMA, an award-winning oat milk business, where she subsequently served in a non-executive capacity. Before joining Egon Zehnder, she consulted for Associated British Foods and Active Private Equity. She was appointed by Gondola Group (Cinven-backed) to turn around Kettner’s, its struggling flagship restaurant brand, and by Tesco to reposition the Giraffe restaurant brand ahead of its sale.

Amy earned an MA in Economics and Management from Pembroke College, Oxford University, and an MBA (Dean's List) from INSEAD.
