Tuur Steffens, based in Amsterdam, is an active member of Egon Zehnder’s Industrial practice. Focusing on asset-heavy and operationally intensive industries, he draws on extensive experience in the oil & gas industry and on his advisory work across steel, construction, transportation, plastics, and energy. Tuur collaborates with clients to tackle challenges with a pragmatic, context-driven approach, building collaborative relationships through open communication, optimism, and a grounded, real-world perspective.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Tuur was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Amsterdam, where he advised clients across the industrial and energy sectors on large-scale strategic and operational transformations. Earlier in his career, he spent six years at Schlumberger in Denmark, Norway, and Germany, progressing through engineering, commercial, and operational leadership roles.
Tuur holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Earth Sciences and a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering, both from Delft University of Technology. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with his wife and three children.
