Albert Laverge is the Managing Partner of the New York office, the firm’s second largest worldwide. He previously led the Banking & Markets practice globally, and continues to advise global integrated banks, independent investment banks and other financial institutions on succession planning, assessment, and leadership development, both at the senior executive and board level. During his 20+ years with the firm, he has also worked in the London and Amsterdam offices.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Albert spent more than a decade in banking and M&A. Starting out at S.G.Warburg (later SBCWarburg, Warburg Dillon Read, and UBS), he held a series of corporate finance and coverage roles across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. He later joined the Atlantic Group, where he focused on raising capital and making investments in emerging markets. In his last role before joining Egon Zehnder he was with Viacom, where he served as a Director of Strategy and Business Development with responsibility for international acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures.
Albert earned an AB in Politics from Princeton University, a Master’s in Economic Policy from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, and an MBA from the Columbia Business School. He is an avid skier, hiker and sailor. Albert is also active in the broader community in New York, including sitting on the boards of the Netherlands-America Foundation.
