Beth McCarter, based in New York City, draws on more than 20 years of experience in retail, business and commercial banking, and wealth management. She has built and grown strategic, product, and sales teams while consistently focusing on developing talent and delivering maximum value for clients. As a member of Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services practice group, Beth supports banks of all sizes, from global institutions across regional banks to credit unions.

Before becoming an Egon Zehnder consultant, Beth spent nearly two decades working for M&T Bank in the greater Washington, D.C. and New York City areas. She joined it as a relationship manager and held various sales leadership roles that culminated in the position of Head of Product & Portfolio Management for Private Banking at its Wilmington Trust subsidiary. Beth launched her career at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
Beth earned a BA (magna cum laude) in economics and business from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania and an MBA in business administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Outside work, she supports her local community by coaching youth field hockey, playing an active role in her church, and serving on the board of trustees of The Connection, a women-led nonprofit community service organization. Beth is married and has three young children.
