Based in London, So-Ang leads Egon Zehnder’s Global Gaming team and belongs to the Digital, Technology & AI practice. He is also a core member of the Firm’s Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Practice. In addition to executive search, So-Ang consults on a wide range of leadership advisory topics including DEI, culture transformation, leadership assessment and development.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, So-Ang was a Counsel and Deputy Head of the New York office of the European law firm Noerr, focusing on venture capital and private equity transactions, mainly for clients in the digital and tech sector. So-Ang is also a co-founder and board member of Biomagnetik Park, a medtech company focusing on cardiac diagnosis.
So-Ang received law degrees from the University of Cologne and the Higher Regional Court of Berlin-Brandenburg. He subsequently earned an LL.M. from Columbia Law School in New York before completing his PhD in intellectual property law at the University of Cologne. So-Ang is a certified business-coach and speaks fluent German, English and Korean. Outside work he keeps his Playstation 5 close to him, is a trained yoga teacher and committed meditator, an avid fan of opera and ballet, and passionate about both classical and electronic music.
