Inge Berneke advises international industry and services clients as well as private foundations on all aspects of talent strategy, executive search, and succession projects. Based in Copenhagen, she designs and leads CEO, C-suite, and board searches and development activities for teams and individuals, attaching great value to diversity and inclusion. Inge is active in the firm’s Industrial and Services practices and in the global functional CEO and Board Consulting practices as well as in the Human Resources and Legal, Regulatory & Compliance practices.

I want to help executives become the best version of themselves. The future is uncertain and calls for excellent people and career decisions, but also continuous development efforts. This can enable executives to grow and reinvent themselves.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Inge led the commercial integration of TeliaSonera and Orange following Telia’s acquisition of Orange Denmark. That was preceded by roles as the company’s Chief of Product Management and head of the Danish program office. Earlier, Inge was a manager at Accenture in London. She began her career as a diplomat in the Danish Foreign Service.

Inge studied political science at the University of Copenhagen and the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris and earned an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. She lives with her young daughter, her partner, and his three teenage children. Outside of work, Inge teaches classes on CEO and board succession at CBS’s board academy and is an avid reader with great curiosity about emerging trends in society, politics, and culture. Inge is fascinated by art, which shapes how we come to see the world, and she serves on the board of the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. She has also published a book on female leadership and frequently gives talks on talent, leadership, diversity, and inclusion.
