Based in Amsterdam, Marieke Witjes is a leader in Egon Zehnder’s Global Services and Tech industry practices, and a core member of the global CHRO, Leadership Advisory and Private Equity groups. As an all-round transformation expert with deep functional expertise in governance and Org Design, Marieke is known for her targeted yet holistic execution of executive search mandates and is a trusted advisor for boards and executives on talent strategy, org effectiveness, succession, and corporate culture.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Marieke spent over 12 years leading large scale transformations as a management consultant with Kearney (Amsterdam, Johannesburg and New York), and helped European clients on their US market entry strategy. She also spent nearly five years in-house as Talent and Transformation executive at Fareportal (travel tech) where she also served as Chief Strategy Officer.
Marieke holds a BSc and MSc in international economics from Maastricht University and brings a truly global perspective. Raised in the Netherlands, she has lived and worked across the globe, including Mumbai, Barcelona, Kampala, Melbourne, Johannesburg, and New York and recently relocated back to Amsterdam. Married with four children, she is a lifelong learner with endless curiosity who enjoys exploring the world.
