Minh-Ha Nguyen, based in New York, serves clients in Egon Zehnder’s Consumer and Technology Practices and focuses on senior executive and board placements in the digital, beauty, retail and e-commerce, and media and entertainment sectors. She works with both digital disrupters and incumbent firms across sectors to define and develop the talent, organization and behaviors required to achieve growth and execute digital transformation and innovation. She possesses strong expertise in Chief Marketing Officer and Data Science/Analytics placements. She is a former business leader with experience in emerging markets, especially China.

Working with digital disrupters and incumbent firms, I believe that many companies have several of the key elements to enable continuous innovation and transformation—they just need the right leadership approach and mind set to unleash it.

Prior to Egon Zehnder, Minh-Ha worked in operating executive roles as a marketing executive and general manager and as an advisor to senior executives across a range of businesses. She served as Chief Marketing Officer of Migo Corporation, a SaaS software company. Previously, she was Vice President and General Manager of E-Commerce and Financial Services for Walmart, where she launched Walmart’s e-commerce business in China from the ground up and managed the financial services business. At American Express in New York, Minh-Ha was the Director of Global Digital Strategy and Product Manager running the company’s largest consumer credit card portfolio. At HBO, she managed HBO’s e-commerce business and helped launch the company’s first digital on-demand video platform, which was the predecessor to HBO Go and HBO Now. At eBay, she managed the collectibles business, eBay’s largest product category.

Minh-Ha has a BA from Duke University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She received a Fulbright Scholarship to Taiwan, where she conducted and published research on the changing media landscape in Greater China. She is also the Consumer Sector Leader for the Harvard Business School Alumni Angels of New York. Minh-Ha is passionate about mentoring young people to reach their potential and about leadership development for young women. When not working, she enjoys international travel—particularly to the developing world—and watching her son play ice hockey.
