Joaquín Pérez, based in Santiago, Chile, is active across Egon Zehnder’s Family Business Advisory, Financial Sector, and Private Capital practices.

What inspires me is the opportunity to learn from outstanding leaders and contribute to the development of great organizations. I feel privileged to be helping people achieve their potential.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Joaquín worked on the strategy, corporate and real estate development team of the Sodimac-Falabella Group in Santiago, Chile. Before that, he was a Deputy Manager for strategic planning and management control at Quiñenco. Earlier, Joaquín held an investment banking role at BTG Pactual Chile, where he was actively involved in M&A and equity capital markets. He began his career at IdeaPaís, a think tank dedicated to training young leaders and furthering the development of public policies in Chile.

Joaquín earned a degree in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Chile and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing soccer, tennis and golf.
