Catherine Zhu, based in Toronto and Hong Kong, has deep expertise in technology and digital transformation. She is the former head of Egon Zehnder’s Greater China Practice and was the Managing Partner in Hong Kong. Catherine is a trusted advisor to multinationals operating between China and North America, and also helps entrepreneurs and family businesses meet their most pressing board and CEO search, leadership succession, and cultural transformation needs. Passionate about innovation, she also advises global companies on their talent strategies.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Catherine was a Managing Director at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in the Asia-Pacific region. Earlier in her career she held leadership roles with Motorola, Nortel, and Yum! Brands.
Catherine earned an MBA from the University of Toronto and a BA from Zhejiang University in China. She published a leadership column in the South China Morning Post and is a founding member of the 30% Club in Hong Kong, which strives to improve gender balance at the executive and board levels. As a board member of Save the Children Hong Kong, Catherine also does volunteer work in remote parts of China. She enjoys hiking with her family in her free time.
