Miranda Pode primarily serves clients in the financial services industry, with a particular focus on insurance, retail banking and consumer finance. She works with clients to help them find CEOs, operational and risk leaders, chief marketing officers and chief human resources officers who can transform financial services institutions for a market defined by customer centricity. Miranda is also an experienced executive coach and a trusted advisor to boards and CEOs, in particular on diversity and inclusion, working with nominating committees to identify and recruit exceptional female executives to serve as non-executive directors. Miranda, who leads Egon Zehnder’s London office, is active in the firm’s Board Consulting, Chief Marketing Officers, and Human Resources Practices, and formerly led the firm’s Financial Services Practice in the United Kingdom.More
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Miranda was with Marks & Spencer, where she led the marketing and strategy function for the £3 billion food division, was a member of the divisional executive committee and headed up the M&S Direct food business. Miranda started her career working in investor relations consulting in Boston and London, advising US companies seeking access to the European equity markets. She then moved to J Sainsbury, serving as Head of Investor Relations, before leading the £2.5 billion petrol retailing operation and the company’s “Sainsbury-to-you” home shopping launch. She was ultimately appointed Head of Strategy for the Group.
Miranda earned an MBA from London Business School, an MA in American Studies from Boston College, and a BA (Hons) in American Studies from Nottingham University.
