Hanns Goeldel is a consultant at Egon Zehnder's Hamburg office and supports publicly listed companies, family businesses, and private equity firms in filling executive positions on boards, in management teams, and supervisory boards. He also assists executives and leadership teams in their professional development. He has specific expertise in the area of CFOs and the service industry and is part of the Board, CFO, and Service Practice. From 2019 to 2025, he led the German organization of Egon Zehnder and was part of the Executive Committee. Furthermore, Hanns Goeldel serves as chairman of the Board Academy, a forum established by McKinsey & Company, KPMG, and Egon Zehnder, where top executives prepare for the challenges of organizational roles.

Prior to his move to Egon Zehnder, Hanns Goeldel served as CFO of urbia.com AG, Finance Manager at Mannesmann o.tel.o GmbH, and Assistant to the CEO of the logistics service provider Rhenus AG.
Hanns Goeldel obtained a degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) from the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Koblenz, where he also earned his doctorate. Additionally, he studied in Grenoble and Manchester. Outside of work, his passions are playing the violin in an orchestra, attending concerts in the new Elbphilharmonie, watching his two sons grow up, and sailing with friends in the Mediterranean.
Hanns Goeldel ist Berater im Hamburger Büro von Egon Zehnder und unterstützt börsennotierte Unternehmen, Familienunternehmen sowie Private-Equity-Firmen bei der Besetzung von Positionen im Vorstand, in der Geschäftsführung und im Aufsichtsrat. Außerdem begleitet er Executives und Führungsteams in ihrer Weiterentwicklung. Er verfügt über weitreichende Erfahrung im Bereich CFO und in der Service-Industrie und ist Mitglied der Praxisgruppen Board, CFO und Services. Von 2019 bis 2025 leitete er die deutsche Organisation von Egon Zehnder und gehörte dem Executive Committee an. Hanns Goeldel ist zudem Vorstandsvorsitzender der Board Academy, eines von McKinsey & Company, KPMG und Egon Zehnder gegründeten Forums, in dem sich Top-Führungspersönlichkeiten auf die Herausforderungen in Organfunktionen vorbereiten.
Vor seinem Wechsel zu Egon Zehnder war Hanns Goeldel CFO der urbia.com AG, Finance Manager bei der Mannesmann o.tel.o GmbH sowie Assistent des Vorstandsvorsitzenden des Logistikdienstleisters Rhenus AG.
Hanns Goeldel erwarb einen Abschluss als Diplom-Kaufmann an der WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Koblenz, wo er auch promovierte. Er studierte außerdem in Grenoble und Manchester.
