Before joining Egon Zehnder, Matthew served as President of Oasis Marinas, leading a private equity-backed middle market company through strategic transformation and growth. Before that, he was Head of Operations at Finch, where he spearheaded business-scaling initiatives and implemented an award-winning customer service engine, promoting operational efficiencies and service innovations that enhanced customer experience and positioned the company as a leader in its sector. He also spent three years at McKinsey & Company, advising clients on strategy, operations, and financial performance. Earlier in his career, Matthew served for a decade as an officer in the U.S. Navy, including time in the Naval Special Forces, where he developed expertise in leadership under pressure, crisis management, and strategic decision-making.
Matthew holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Business, focused on finance, and a B.S. in Supply Chain and Information Systems from Penn State University. Outside of work, Matthew is an ultramarathon runner and enjoys software development.
