Xuemei Bennink-Bai is a Partner and trusted advisor to global and Chinese clients. She specializes in top executive succession, leadership development, and senior executive search, especially in consumer-related industry sectors. Based in Shanghai, she brings a wealth of hands-on corporate leadership experiences and passion for solving clients’ leadership challenges. Xuemei is also active in Egon Zehnder’s Family Business and Board Consulting practices.

Supporting the transformation of clients and candidates and having a positive impact on China and Asia’s rapidly developing business world energizes me.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Xuemei was on the executive board of Rentokil Initial, a FTSE100 company in the UK. While based in Singapore and London, she led the turnaround of Rentokil Initial’s 15 Asia-Pacific countries and built the Group Marketing and Innovation function. Xuemei began her career in the UK with Unilever, where she spent more than a decade in the China market and became Vice President of Unilever China.

Xuemei has a PhD in heat transfer from the University of Cambridge.
