Wrendon Perry Hunt, based in Houston, is active across Egon Zehnder’s Industrial Practice. He draws on his broad management experience to help clients meet their leadership challenges.
Leadership is the most vital (and frequently misunderstood) piece of the success equation. While striving to understand relationships, culture and business, I work to connect effective leaders with companies in which they can unleash their full potential.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Wrendon served as the Director of a Houston-based financial advisory and asset management firm. Before that he was a Presidentially appointed White House Fellow at the U.S. Department of Labor, serving as a special assistant and advisor to the Secretary of Labor. Earlier, Wrendon worked for the Dow Chemical Company in Michigan, initially with a P&L in the commodity chemicals business and subsequently as a Commercial Director in Dow’s Energy Portfolio. He began his career as a surface warfare officer in the United States Navy, completing two Western Pacific deployments.
Wrendon earned a BS in systems engineering and American legal studies from West Point (qualifying for the Dean’s List and the Superintendent’s Distinguished Cadet Award) and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is also a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®). When not working, Wrendon is passionate about spending time with his wife and two children.
