Amala Gupta, based in Mumbai, is active in Egon Zehnder’s Technology and Private Capital Practice Groups. Focusing on the intersection of technology, investment, and transformation, she advises clients on leadership and organizational challenges. Amala brings more than a decade of consulting experience and combines strategic insight and a results-driven mindset to help leaders drive growth and navigate disruption in the age of AI.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Amala spent 12 years at McKinsey & Company, where she was an Associate Partner in the Private Equity and Technology practices. At McKinsey, she worked with Private Equity investors across the deal cycle and supported Tech Services firms in defining overall strategy and M&A priorities along with driving large-scale growth transformations.
Amala holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and a BA in Mathematics (Honours) from Lady Shriram College, University of Delhi. Outside of work, Amala enjoys cooking, hosting friends and family, and seeing the world through her young daughter’s eyes.
