Sameera Sandhu, based in New Delhi, focuses on executive search, board consulting and leadership advisory as a member of Egon Zehnder’s Industrial Practice Group. She draws on over 15 years of experience in management consulting roles, advising companies globally on business and talent strategies. Sameera is particularly passionate about helping companies strengthen their leadership and attain the next level on their sustainability journeys.
I’m passionate about replacing the old paradigm of ‘business as usual’ with that of ‘business as a force for good’ while helping leaders shape the future of India and the world.
Prior to becoming an Egon Zehnder consultant, Sameera led research for the Firm’s global Mining & Metals Practice, advising clients on board and leadership mandates, and leading multinational project teams. Before that, she worked as an independent consultant, serving clients—that included a multinational, a public sector organization and a global non-profit—focused on healthcare. Earlier, Sameera was with Ernst & Young, serving as a Senior Analyst in the Mining & Metals Practice, and as a global subject matter expert on base metals, aggregates and industry M&A. She began her career as an underwriter at GE Capital.
Sameera earned a bachelor of commerce (B.Com.) degree from Delhi University and a global executive MBA from INSEAD while specialising in business strategy and sustainability. She has published several thought leadership papers, including on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) impact on the mining and metals industry, and been a guest speaker on the future impact of the transition to green energy. Outside work, Sameera is a passionate collector of art, enjoys reading historical fiction and discovering great music, and travels widely and often.
