Koshiro Miyake leads Egon Zehnder’s Kyoto Office while working as a member of the Firm’s Industrial Practice Group. Based in Tokyo and Western Japan, he provides advisory services in CEO succession and board consulting such as hiring Non-Executive Directors. He works across a broad range of industries, primarily manufacturing, high technology, and services. In addition to large corporations, he has supported mid-sized companies, startups, and owner-managed businesses, helping drive corporate transformation from the perspectives of people, organization, and leadership.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Koshiro was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co. in Tokyo. Prior to that he served as a Business Development Manager at Hitachi. Earlier, Koshiro advanced to the role of Deputy Manager and worked at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation with deployments in Tokyo, Moscow and Vienna. He began his career as an engineer at the Tokyo Electric Power Company.
Koshiro earned a BS and MS in mechanical engineering from the University of Tokyo. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, fishing and camping, and playing outdoor sports. Koshiro also does volunteer work with students. In addition to his native Japanese, he speaks fluent English.

大学院卒業後に東京電力入社。エンジニアとして海外での火力発電、電力系統のコンサルティング等に携わる。その後、国際協力銀行(JBIC)入行し、環境ファイナンスやロシア・CIS地域での投融資案件開発に従事。日立製作所にて事業開発マネージャーとしてエネルギーソリューション案件の開発を手掛けたのち、マッキンゼー・アンド・カンパニー東京支社に入社。製造業、IT企業、エネルギー会社等に対する事業戦略策定、組織変革、調達改革、クロスボーダーM&A、リーダーシップ開発等の経営コンサルティングに従事。
