Yumi Katherine Tomizuka has spent her career helping consumer, brand, and technology-led organizations grow and evolve. Based in London, she conducts CEO and senior-level executive and nonexecutive board searches and advises on strategy, assessment, and development across industries and functions. Yumi Katherine also leads the Chief Marketing Officer’s practice and Digital, Sports and Sustainability for the Consumer team in the UK.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Yumi Katherine was the Vice President of Corporate Development for Adidas Group. Based in Germany, she led strategy, business development, and board projects and partnered with teams across the group’s global portfolio of brands, markets, functions, and channels to strengthen the brands, drive internal and external engagement, and improve operating results. Previously, she was a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, where she focused on strategy formulation, business model transformation, and post-merger integration. Earlier in her career, Yumi Katherine developed operational, functional, and geographic expertise in the US and Asia-Pacific region while working at Deere and Company and IBM.
Yumi Katherine earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in hotel administration from Cornell University. Innately drawn to the intersection of consumer need and intelligent design, she initially studied architecture before recognizing her passion for building businesses and developing people. Outside of work, Yumi Katherine enjoys spending time with her family and is an aspiring artist and yogi. She has also launched a tech-enabled luxury bag label.
