Gabriel Andrade, based in Munich, is deeply experienced in the technology segments of the systems & services and ERP software industries. An active member and former leader of Egon Zehnder’s Technology and Communications Practice and Global Innovation Platform, he is a valued advisor to global technology corporations on strategy, markets, digitization, key leadership issues, and senior talent trends. Gabriel works with clients on CEO succession projects, CIO and CDO search and development, and placement of senior technology experts in board roles. During his time with the firm, he has assessed nearly 1,000 technology executives.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Gabriel was a Partner at CSC Index, serving on the Management Committee with responsibility for staff recruitment and development, mainly for the telecommunications industry. Previously, he held the role of Senior Consultant at Bain & Company, focusing on M&A and financial services. Gabriel began his professional career with Baring Securities as an Institutional Sales Executive for investors in Switzerland, France, and Austria. When Baring was integrated into BZW, he was appointed Assistant Vice President.

Gabriel earned a BA in economics from the Instituto Tecnólogico Autónomo de Mexico and a PhD in economics from the University of Vienna, where he also worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Higher Studies. He is passionate about his family and helping his children and their friends become meaningful and responsible global citizens. Gabriel also supports entrepreneur friends in growing their companies. His hobbies are martial arts, collecting vintage watches, and cooking.

Er ist Experte für die Besetzung von CIO-Positionen und hat zahlreiche hochrangige CEO-Succession-Mandate geleitet. Gabriel Andrade verfügt über langjährige Erfahrung in der Platzierung von Technologiespezialisten in den obersten Führungsebenen internationaler Unternehmen sowie in der Beratung japanischer Unternehmen und MNCs in wichtigen Führungsfragen. Er berät globale Technologieunternehmen strategisch hinsichtlich ihres Marktauftritts, Kundenwahrnehmung und Fragen des Talentmanagements auf oberster Ebene. Bis 2011 leitete Gabriel Andrade die globale Technology & Communications Praxisgruppe von Egon Zehnder und war von 2012 bis 2013 für die globale Innovationsplattform des Unternehmens zuständig.

Vor seinem Eintritt bei Egon Zehnder war Gabriel Andrade als Partner bei CSX Index für die Telekommunikationsindustrie tätig und zeichnete intern für die Selektion und Entwicklung von Mitarbeitern verantwortlich. Zuvor befasste er sich als Senior Consultant bei Bain & Company mit M&A-Themen und dem Finanzdienstleistungssektor. Seine berufliche Laufbahn begann er als Institutional Sales Executive für institutionelle Investoren bei Baring Securities in der Schweiz, Frankreich und Österreich. Als das Baring-Team zu BZW wechselte, wurde er zum Assistant Vice President ernannt.

Gabriel Andrade ist Diplom-Volkswirt (Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México) und promovierte an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, wo er auch als wissenschaftlicher Assistent am Institut für Höhere Studien beschäftigt war.
