Anja Herrmann leads the firm’s US Retail, Apparel & Luxury Practice and is a core member of the Consumer and Digital practices. She focuses her executive search work on Board and CEOs in addition to roles across the C-Suite at the intersection of customer, brand, product and digital. Anja also advises clients in the Retail sector on leadership development, succession planning and organizational effectiveness.

Anja’s focus on retail and direct-to-consumer preceded her time at Egon Zehnder. She has held general management, commercial, product, and merchandising leadership roles with best-in-class lifestyle brands and early stage startups. Anja began her career in traditional fashion and luxury retail, working for brands that include Prada, Dior, and Ralph Lauren, before transitioning to the shopping-and-lifestyle website gilt.com.
Anja has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a master’s degree from the Community of European Management Schools, and a Lic. Oec. HSG from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. She has lived in the U.S., Italy, France, the U.K., Switzerland, and Germany. Passionate about skiing, hiking, and the outdoors, Anja spends as much time as possible in nature with her family, friends, and young son.
