Based in New York, Irina Wolpert leads Egon Zehnder’s Americas FinTech Practice. She advises CEOs and boards on CEO succession, board effectiveness, executive team design, and leadership development at the most consequential moments in their leadership lifecycle. A recognized expert in leadership development and a believer in unlocking the full potential of every leader, Irina brings particular depth to commercial and go-to-market leadership. She partners with senior executives across FinTech, AI, enterprise technology, and financial services, empowering them to drive positive cultural change and foster thriving cultures of growth and innovation. She is sought after for the depth of her judgment on the decisions that define a company’s trajectory, and widely recognized for her passion, energy, deep care, and innovative thinking.
I feel privileged to impact the most critical part of any company’s success, namely its people. It’s about paving the way for a new generation of impactful, values-driven leaders while propelling sustainable growth and positive outcomes.
Before joining Egon Zehnder, Irina was Amazon’s Global Head of Sales Enablement and Go-to-Market Strategy. She spent the prior 15 years at American Express in the United States, Europe, and Asia, holding senior leadership roles across product management, marketing, business development, and sales strategy. That operating background informs her advisory work in ways clients return to repeatedly: she has lived inside the same complexity she now helps leaders navigate.
A former professional dancer, Irina remains deeply connected to the arts. She lives in New York with her husband and their two children and shares a love of travel and exploring different cultures.
