Sophia Marzouk, based in Palo Alto, is a consultant at Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services and Technology & Communications Practice Groups. She advises boards, CEOs, and executive teams on CEO and board search, executive succession, and leadership assessment. With more than a decade of experience in global investment banking, Sophia has built extensive experience across capital markets and M&A transactions. She brings a pragmatic, results-driven perspective to her work, grounded in analytical rigor and a steady, dependable approach to client partnership.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Sophia was an Executive Director in Morgan Stanley’s Technology Investment Banking group in the Bay Area, where she covered the semiconductor sector and advised on landmark M&A and capital markets transactions. Earlier in her career, she worked in investment banking at Citigroup in New York, covering Latin American clients. She began her career as a business analyst at Europraxis, following roles in corporate strategy and financial planning at Hypermarcas in Brazil.
Sophia holds a degree in Naval Engineering from Escola Politécnica at the University of São Paulo and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. She is FINRA Series 79 and 63 certified. Outside of work, she enjoys music (singing and playing classical piano and guitar), along with swimming, scuba diving, and spending time by the water.
