Coaching

When we think about development at Egon Zehnder, we think about the gap between where you are today and where you want to be. If that gap is about skills or knowledge, that’s one thing. But if that gap is about identity and mindset, it requires a different approach. This is where coaching — a critical step in an executive’s development — comes in.

At Egon Zehnder, our approach to coaching differs from that of standard executive-coaching firms in both breadth and depth. Because of our 50-year history of assessing senior-level individuals, we have deep insight into what success looks like in the C-suite and the various kinds of behaviors that are most relevant to achievement in business. And because our consultants come directly from industry or professional services, we know what it’s like to face the pressures you face. More than 80 of our consultants have completed a two-year coaching-skills training program. Through the firm’s extensive network, they are closely connected to world-leading experts in the field of senior executive development, enabling us to bring the best intervention to your specific needs.

Typically, we work closely with you for a six- to 12-month period, meeting monthly in a safe, confidential setting, conducive to openness. We use our expertise in executive benchmarking to clarify your baseline. We help you define and visualize your goals, and assist you in accessing the full richness of your inner strengths, as well as what may be holding you back. We work with you to clarify your identity and purpose, and thereby unlock untapped potential.
