Team Effectiveness

Building the right team and getting it aligned is one of the most important and least understood parts of leadership. It is a process of discovery, where success is not only about complimentary skill sets and potential but also about trust and chemistry.  

At Egon Zehnder, we understand that team development is a journey, and a complex one at that. We have decades of experience working with senior executive teams all over the world, and our own industry background means that many of us have walked in your shoes. We are prepared to spend whatever time you need to get your team where it needs to be. We understand that the team is both a unit and a collection of individuals; this means that we work both with the team as a whole and by understanding the development needs of each member. 

We begin our work by partnering with you on this discovery process. We help your team take stock of its current state, using our own proprietary framework: Are you aligned on strategy? Is there trust? Is the energy level appropriate? Is the team’s composition correct?  

From there, our bespoke process moves to execution. If the team does not match the defined strategy, what needs to change? Because of our long history assessing individuals, we are able to offer advice on how to reconfigure or reorganize the team so that it operates as one dynamic organism. This may take time; we don’t believe in a cookie-cutter approach, and we also know how quickly priorities change. We are your partner on this collective leadership development journey, and we will do what it takes until your team is aligned.
