Edilson Camara, based in Toronto, is Egon Zehnder’s Managing Partner for Canada, having previously led the firm’s Brazilian practice. He also leads the Mining & Metals segment of Egon Zehnder’s Industrial Practice in the Americas. Ed focuses on the natural resources and heavy industry sectors in Canada, Latin America and globally. He serves world-leading companies in mining, steel, cement, petroleum, natural gas, biomaterials, printing, agricultural products, aircraft manufacturing, utilities and construction, among others. Ed is deeply experienced in board consulting and is a trusted advisor to family owned companies.


Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Ed was Strategic Planning Manager, Treasurer, and Assistant to the CEO at Holcim Group, a leading cement and building materials group. At Holcim, Ed led corporate functions covering Latin America, including strategic planning, finance and marketing, and was based in São Paulo, Brazil and Celigny, Switzerland. Ed started his career as a business analyst at Exxon Chemical Company in Brazil, and subsequently served in a range of corporate and client facing responsibilities in Exxon’s downstream operations.

Ed earned a BSc in Economics from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
