Karl Croke

For more than 30 years, Karl Croke has been identifying and developing leaders and leadership teams, providing services to publicly listed, multinational, large private, and state organizations. He has worked extensively with board chairs and chief executives across a range of complex organizations.

It is stimulating and a privilege to work with the leaders of the best companies in Ireland, to assist them to innovatively work through challenges and grow successfully.

Up to 2010, Karl was a group board member of The Amrop Group and was executive chair of EMEA and India with responsibility for the offices in 30 countries. Prior to that, he worked for an American technology multinational in Ireland and the U.S. He commenced his career as a Captain in the Irish Army. In addition to his role at Egon Zehnder as Senior Advisor on the Dublin team​, Karl is CEO of Dublin-based Board Works, a board and top management team recruitment and advisory company.

Karl holds a Bachelor of Commerce and MBA degrees from the National University of Ireland Galway. He has studied at Harvard, Columbia and Stanford Business Schools. In his spare time, he likes to hike and watch rugby.
