Tanay Misra, based in Singapore, leads Egon Zehnder’s Consumer & Sustainability Practice for Asia-Pacific, advising companies across consumer goods, retail, and luxury. He works with CEOs, global boards, family businesses, founders, and owners on the human dimensions of leadership, including CEO search and succession, executive assessment, leadership team effectiveness, culture, board effectiveness, and the integration of senior executives. A certified executive coach and practitioner of psychometric tools such as the Hogan Suite and 16PF®, Tanay is a trusted advisor to senior leaders, their teams, and boards embarking on their own growth. He brings a deep curiosity about the connection between human psychology and physiology - how leaders think, feel, and sustain themselves in a fast-changing world.
My purpose is to help leaders be their best. Better leadership builds a better world.
Before Egon Zehnder, Tanay spent nearly 14 years at Unilever, moving from local sales in India to commercial leadership in emerging markets to Global Brand Director across multiple categories. Married to his best friend and father to an adult son, he is drawn to the frontier science of human potential, longevity, and consciousness, alongside the slow arts of coffee-making and fountain pens. He is the co-author of a book on art history and is contemplating his next title.
Tanay holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering, New Delhi, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur.
