Bernd J. Wieczorek, based in Berlin, is a trusted advisor to supervisory and executive boards on governance and leadership issues including board effectiveness, CEO succession, and senior talent strategy. Bernd leads senior-level executive search and provides executive assessment and evaluation.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Bernd was a Senior Manager with Arthur Andersen, serving clients in Germany and across Europe with a focus on marketing, sales, and IT strategy. Internally he was engaged as Director of Professional Education at Arthur Andersen’s headquarters in Chicago.
Bernd earned an MA in mathematics at the University of Mainz, where he also studied physics and philosophy. He serves several not-for-profit institutions. Bernd is Chairman of the Board Academy, Chairman of the Friends of the German Academy of Arts, Treasurer of the Berlin Center of Corporate Governance, and Chairman of the Art Committee of the Foundation of Berlin Industrialists, as well as a board member of the Friends of the German Opera House and the RWE-Foundation.
