Based in Boston, he guides clients through sensitive board and senior executive assignments. He draws on two decades of experience as a senior executive in the electric and gas sectors across North America, Europe, and Asia to support publicly traded and private capital clients on Board, CEO, CFO and broader commercial and operational executive leadership roles.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Ed held several roles at National Grid focused on strategy, business performance, leadership and transformation for the firm’s regulated utility and non-regulated energy businesses. Earlier in his career, Ed led strategy at InterGen, an international independent power producer, and led energy research and consulting in China for IHS Markit (CERA).
Ed received his MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, his MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School, and his MA from the University of Oxford. Outside of work, Ed enjoys traveling widely with his wife and two children, and spending time outdoors cycling, hiking, and skiing.
