Jason Jia, based in Shanghai, leads Egon Zehnder’s Consumer Practice Group in Greater China, serving both product companies and retailers of various formats, from big box retailers to convenience stores; from luxury retailers to online retails; from multinational players to local retailers. He works closely with them on both senior-level executive search and leadership assessment and development.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Jason was the Commercial Director for Michelin in China, where he developed new product and service solutions for large key account clients. Prior to that, he was a Project Manager at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, serving state-owned enterprises, private Chinese companies, and multinationals in the energy and chemical sectors. Jason launched his career at Caltex (Chevron), with a focus on developing the retail business in Asia.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Engineering in materials science, a bachelor’s degree in English from the East China University of Science and Technology, and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Outside of work, he loves playing with his daughter, cooking with friends, and scuba diving.
