In her role as the coleader of Egon Zehnder’s global Retail, Apparel, and Luxury segment, Sophie Hanson sees firsthand the strong forces impacting the retail landscape. She recognizes that today’s business environment requires inspiring leadership and a motivated culture of collaboration. In this context, Sophie works to find the right talent solutions across the C-suite and at the board level to drive positive change. Sophie also devotes much of her time to leadership development and is an experienced executive coach who is energized by developing leaders to maximize their potential. An active member of the firm’s Board Consulting, Consumer, Private Equity, and Human Resources practices and its Leadership Development Services, Sophie enjoys the variety of mandates in which clients involve her.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Sophie was Director of Marketing and Business Development for Stella McCartney. Previously, she was Marketing Services Director at Alfred Dunhill and the Director of Fragrance Marketing at Guerlain within the LVMH Group. In her early career, Sophie held a variety of marketing roles at Revlon.

Sophie has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in economics from Barnard College at Columbia University.
