Alejandro Folmer is active in Egon Zehnder’s Consumer Practice and advises boards and executive leadership teams in the agribusiness sector from “farm to fork.” He has expertise in food and ingredients, consumer packaged foods, nutrition, and retail companies. Currently, Alejandro leads the firm’s North American AgroFood segment and guides search for marketing, commercial, and general management roles. Additionally, he actively works in executive assessment and development.

Alejandro joined Egon Zehnder in 2007 after a successful career with the Arcor Group, a South American-based, family-held, vertically integrated global confectionery manufacturer with more than $3.5 billion in total sales and operations on five continents. He has held roles within the USA Supply Chain, Operations, and Commercial departments, during a period of rapid expansion throughout North America. Previously, he led a Hispanic trade marketing campaign across the United States for Hershey’s, a key client of Marketing Werks.
Alejandro has a BS from Marquette University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Originally from Argentina, he is fluent in English and Spanish. His passion for food transcends work, and he enjoys cooking for friends and family. He has also completed four half-Ironman races and is an Ironman finisher. Alejandro is passionate about the current transformation of the nutrition space from industry and consumer perspectives.
