Alain Serhan coleads Egon Zehnder’s global Digital Health initiative and plays a key role in its Private Equity and Technology and Communications practices. He is a trusted advisor to a roster of clients in technology, health-tech, and advanced analytics services, which he supports with management search and appraisals, and leadership development consulting.

The impact we have on our clients is measurable. It’s highly rewarding to look back a few years later and see the outcome.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Alain was Vice President of Sales and Consulting Services at IMS Health Canada. Before that, he helped build two start-ups: one for distributed data that was later sold to Sybase, and the other in the online health-care marketing space. Prior to that, Alain worked at McKinsey & Company, advising executives across the telecom, consumer goods, and health-care sectors. Earlier, he worked as an engineer and developer for Nortel Networks, IBM, and Omron Japan.

Alain earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnique de Montréal and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He is married with two teenaged children and enjoys activities such as skiing and sailing that the family can do together.
