Prior to joining Egon Zehnder’s team, Jarda spent over a decade at Microsoft in various financial functions. He first held local financial management roles in Prague, then was promoted to Finance Director at the regional headquarters in Munich with responsibility for more than 25 countries. He began his career as a project manager in the environmental department of the Ford Motor Company.
Jarda earned an undergraduate degree at the Technical University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic, then a PhD in environmental studies and economy from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and Charles University in Prague. He does pro bono work for several small and family-owned businesses, including a best-in-class psychology and psychotherapy web portal and Montessori schools in the Czech Republic. Jarda is an enthusiastic and devoted father to his young twin daughters. As a former ice hockey player he still enjoys playing but now needs to spend more time practicing yoga, enjoys surfing whenever he has a chance to do it and reading books.
