Carlos Xavier, based in São Paulo, leads Egon Zehnder’s Consumer and Digital practices in Brazil and works closely with media, consumer products, and retail companies. He provides a range of leadership solutions including succession planning, potential assessment, executive search, and organizational strategy consulting, with particular expertise in corporate culture and innovation.

I’m inspired by the challenge of matching phenomenal executives to opportunities that will unleash their potential and generate the greatest impact for them and for our clients.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Carlos was an Associate Principal with McKinsey & Company based in São Paulo, where he advised Latin American clients in the consumer sector on growth and category strategy, corporate governance, and organizational transformation. He began his career as a consultant for Accenture.

Carlos earned a BS in industrial engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from Harvard Business School, supplemented by extension courses in management and corporate finance at Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro. He is the proud father of three daughters and enjoys playing tennis, getting up to speed with the latest gadgets, and reading about philosophy and ethics in his free time.
