Kim Henderson is a founding member of Egon Zehnder’s Washington, D.C. office and leads the Firm’s Consumer Practice Group for the Americas in addition to being active in its Technology Officers’ Practice. A trusted advisor to clients in the consumer sector, she supports consumer brands ranging from restaurants and hospitality across travel, leisure and theme parks to broad consumer businesses, while focusing mainly on tech, digital, and marketing functions. Kim also has extensive experience in CEO succession, management appraisal and development, and board advisory services. She has worked with both large established brands and high-growth disruptors and is known and appreciated for her sharp mind, enthusiasm and energy.

I love serving as an advisor and confidante to some of the world’s smartest and most talented leaders. I have the great privilege of identifying and unlocking potential in established executives and future leaders.

Kim joined Egon Zehnder in 2014 as the first consultant in the Washington, D.C. office and quickly became a prominent member of the Consumer and Services practices. Before that, she was the Senior Director of Professional Services at Corporate Executive Board (now CEB Inc.), building that firm’s commercial effectiveness consulting practice. Earlier, Kim worked in the Global Client Group at American Express in London with responsibility for negotiating global card acceptance agreements and partnerships with multinational hospitality clients. She began her career as an analyst with Paine Webber in New York.

Kim earned a BS in finance from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. She has two teenage daughters and, when not attempting to help them with math homework and driving them to soccer practice and cheer competitions, she enjoys playing tennis, cooking, reading, yoga, and running.
