Based in Melbourne, Margot is a member of Egon Zehnder’s Industrial & Technology Practices. She specializes in finding and developing senior leaders through proactive succession planning, and is a trusted advisor on executive transition, team effectiveness and organisational culture. She draws on her industry and consulting experience in the mining, oil & gas and energy sectors to help clients meet people-related challenges in today’s rapidly changing world.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Margot served heavy industry companies across Australia, Asia and North America with McKinsey & Company including leading enterprise transformation programs. Margot has lead engagements in industrials spanning capital project investment & delivery and process improvement. All of her work brings a material focus on establishing a performance culture, improving operational efficiency and building leadership capability. An engineer by training, Margot started her career in oil & gas operations with Schlumberger, where she held roles in land & offshore field operations, health & safety, and new technology roll-out.
Margot holds a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering (1st Class Hons) and Bachelor degree in Commerce, both from the University of Melbourne. She holds coaching accreditations from the Institute of Executive Coaching & Leadership (IECL).
