Marie Grønnegaard Christensen has deep expertise in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries and is a member of Egon Zehnder’s Health Practice. Based in Copenhagen, she advises clients on human capital strategy, organizational design, and succession planning. Leveraging her background in finance and strategy, Marie supports organizations to harness their strategic and operational goals in evolving markets. Marie is also active in the Financial Officers and Executive Assessment and Development practices. Marie is certified in 16pf and the Hogan Development survey.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Marie was Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Novo Nordisk. She also held leadership positions in finance, strategy, operations, foreign exchange hedging, and treasury controlling at the company.
Marie has a MSc in finance and economics from the University of Copenhagen. Further, she holds 2 BA degrees; one in finance and economics, and one in English, both from the University of Aarhus in Denmark. She has also studied at SUNY Binghamton in New York and Nebraska Wesleyan University. She is the mother of twins and enjoys running marathons and relaxing at her family’s second home in northern Italy.
