As leader of the Global Industrial Practice and a core member of the CEO Succession and Board Consulting practice, Sanjay Gupta has the innate ability to build deep and long-lasting relationships with global Industry leaders of today and of the future. His natural curiosity and approach to get to the root of the issues makes him unique as he takes a holistic and comprehensive method to addressing the most critical talent topics of Board and CEO Succession, leadership pipeline, merger and integration assessment as well as Development of Senior Executives, CEO’s, Chairmen, and Board members.
My goal goes beyond finding just the right person for the job; I want to have a lasting impact on performance and the creation of long term shareholder value thru the executives we place.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder International, Sanjay was Executive Vice President of International Marketing and President, Mahindra USA. At Mahindra, Sanjay held positions of increasing responsibility, leading business growth in Europe and Africa, then firmly establishing the Mahindra brand in the US market. He successfully managed strategic alliances, acquisitions and joint venture opportunities for the $500 million Mahindra USA business. Previously, with Pangborn Corporation in Maryland, he led the turnaround of the business and achieved preferred supplier status with key automotive and industrial customers. Before joining Pangborn, Sanjay led consulting engagements with medium to large service and manufacturing companies at The Maryland Center for Quality.
Sanjay holds an MBA and an MSc, from the University of Maryland; he received his BS from Gujarat University in India. He holds a board seat at Mahindra USA. He and his wife have two children and they enjoy exploring the world as a family.
