Aglaia Wieland, based in Munich, is a trusted advisor to large corporates as well as family companies, both on a global/international as well as a regional level. Aglaia is active in Egon Zehnder´s global Industry and Sustainability Practice. Aglaia provides a range of services, from executive search to management appraisals and board consulting.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Aglaia was CEO and Managing Director at the Desertec Industrial Initiative, an international industry consortium of up to 55 companies dedicated to the market development for renewable energies in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. Aglaia started her professional career with the the Boston Consulting Group. During a decade she worked in various industries across a wide range of topics with a special focus on strategic and operational projects in the consumer and industrial goods sector. Aglaia also supported BCG’s recruiting initiatives and the ramp-up of BCG’s activities in the Middle East.
Aglaia earned a Master of Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) from the European Business School, Oestrich-Winkel and obtained a PhD (Dr. rer.pol.) in the field of finance. She is a member of the German National Committee for Unicef.
