Steve Goodman is Egon Zehnder’s Managing Partner in Houston and previously led the North American Energy Practice. Today, he advises clients across industries. Steve has expertise in CEO succession planning and board effectiveness consulting. Having completed certifications as a leadership coach and executive team coach, Steve is also active in the firm’s Executive Assessment & Development Practice.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Steve was Practice Leader of North American Energy Strategy and Technology with KPMG Consulting. Previously, he was a Partner at Andersen Business Consulting, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and strategic planning.
Steve has a BS from Brigham Young University, an MBA from Rice University, and he is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School. He serves on the board of directors for the Harvard Business School in Houston and was Chair of the Nomination and Governance Committee. Steve is committed to the community, whether helping to organize thousands of hurricane-relief volunteers or developing leadership capabilities in promising youth. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing, hiking, and water skiing, and, for 15 years, he has annually hiked the Grand Tetons.
