Christina Zhu, based in Beijing, is actively involved in Egon Zehnder’s Industrial Practice as an executive recruitment consultant and talent strategy advisor. Drawing on more than 15 years of strategy, investment, and consulting experience across industries that include manufacturing and health care, she works closely with Chinese state-owned enterprises and local companies on joint-venture investment opportunities in China and outbound investment assessments.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Christina served as China Development Director at CRH, a global building materials company where she was mainly responsible for corporate strategy and M&A activities in China. She also spent three years at its headquarters in Europe, investigating investment opportunities there. In a preceding role at Express Scripts, the largest pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) in the United States, Christina designed health-care services and developed business relationships with various Chinese health-care system stakeholders. She also did a five-year stint as a consultant at Bain & Company, working with clients on a variety of strategic and operational assignments.
Christina earned a BA from Nanjing University, in China, before completing an MBA in finance (with honors) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. When not working, she enjoys traveling with her family.
